A higher interest rate means a higher demand for a currency. The factors that follow may have a positive or negative affect on the economy. In this case, currency value will decrease. Foreign investors in a currency to be considered a good investment you should be able to receive a profit that more than marginally exceeds an investment in a currency prefer a higher interest.
